"I don't make hell for nobody. I'm only the instrument of a laughing providence. Sometimes I don't like it myself, but I couldn't help it if I was born smart."

Paul Valery

"You are in love with intelligence, until it frightens you. For your ideas are terrifying and your hearts are faint. Your acts of pity and cruelty are absurd, committed with no calm, as if they were irresistible. Finally, you fear blood more and more. Blood and time."

The Wisdom of the Ages

Idiocy Abounds

The helmet-haired amphibian is back.
Found this poor knockoff of Jon Stewart over to the "Center for Poorly Thought-out Bombast".
If you can get through old Newton's blather, you'll notice the one possible solution to rising oil prices that none of these dipshits can even discuss is this:
USE LESS OF THE SHIT. (I was told that using all caps is rude - akin to shouting. FUCK YES! THAT'S WHY I DO IT.)
It's hard to tell from photos but I find it hard to believe that anyone has an ass fat enough to require a one-ton truck (Ford F350 - for example - the Barrett 50BMG of pickups) to carry said ass to work.
The Og himself is quite taken with his own vehicles, one of which he managed to squeeze 140 mph out of.
We'll overlook the obvious responsibility issues concerning a husband and father of six risking his life (and car!)while pissing away our energy heritage in yet another quest for the (perceived) bigger dick.
The real question is simply this:
Isn't this kind of, typically American behavior, stupid and wasteful?
Rhetorical question. Don't answer.
I missed my post yesterday for "Military Hubris Day - The day the Indians solved the Custer Problem" because I was up all night baking a cake for "2nd Amendment day".
Puh-fucking-leeze.
Anyway, back to the France of ninety-two years ago. The bombardment, in it's third day, was going swimmingly - 150,000 rounds a day, downrange from the Brit side while the Germans threw back enough to feel they were still in the game.
Z-Hour is set for 0700, June 29. BYOB

OHP,

I've been saying for a long time that we should go to all nuclear power plants and plug electrical cars into cheap wall outlets.

OPEC can go f*ck itself.

But then all the wrong people would be burning our gas.
The Chinese, the Indians, oh the horror.

Come on now Dan, if you're fat, bald, have a goatee and drive a full size Hotwheels truck, you don't have to DO anything. You just are, your identity is established.(For example it doesn't matter if you never served your adopted country, and admit you didn't have ass enough to stay and unfuck your own country yet you bang the war drum here.) Oh, and a blog helps. War's cool if you don't have a dog in the fight.Lighten up will ya? Sheesh.
Keep up the good work.

Let them. Then they can have the millstone of the Middle East around their necks.

Think the Americans have a hard time over there? Imagine if the atheist Chinese or the polytheistic-Hindu Indians started sending troops there to guarantee their oil supplies.

You know you're only encouraging me.
Shame on you.
These folks are armed and... what's the word?
