"You are in love with intelligence, until it frightens you. For your ideas are terrifying and your hearts are faint. Your acts of pity and cruelty are absurd, committed with no calm, as if they were irresistible. Finally, you fear blood more and more. Blood and time."

Stupid so thick...

...it'd be easier to jump over than walk around it.

Picked up from "The Great War Forum"; a conversation vis a vis the pulling of grenade pins with one's teeth.
Bozo here proved that that at least was possible.
He proved as well that his buddy; A. Likes and cares about him. and B. Is exponentially smarter than he is.
What idiot did was hold it loosely enough that the spoon flew off while still in his hand and bounced the grenade in the water.
Good job the pond was as deep as it appears to have been.
Most definitely a Bear of Very Little Brain.

I don't know.
Idiot, Surfer Boy sports one of those wispy, bad teen-age goatee-ettes.
Maybe they're rent-a-cops - I mean "contractors".

To the best of my knowledge, it's either from Cambodia, or maybe Thailand, at some ranges where tourists can actually use military weaponry for a fee (a guy I "know" did this when on R&R in Thailand, before heading back to bangladesh to the local french cultural outreach crap he worked for).
So, no, I just think that they're run-of-the-mill civilians, tourists having a bit of testosterone based fun. The fellow who saves the day is most likely a range employee/guide.

Plus... Reminds me, couldn't find it... there's a vid somewhere of a couple swiss soldiers in bosnia or rather kosovo, maybe, making fools of themselves by having an offensive grenade blow up a deep puddle... the prone grenadier breaks the ice, drop the grenade, roll over, and the thing goes off maybe one, two feet from him, spreading muddy icy water everywhere, to the giggles of the camera holder.
IIRC, that vid made quite a stir in Switzerland, where soldiers, especially the few ones in peacekeeping missions abroad, are NOT supposed to behave like idiots (this came on the wheels of a big brawl/assault outside of a brothels, in which some swiss were involved).
