Omega cons

George (The Ogre) Hill has thoughtfully provided a list of the "...leaders of the conservative movement." on his site.
It's on the left. Scroll down.
I just used the magic of Google to discover that not one of these paragons of patriotism has served in the military.
Neal Boortz, the oldest of the lot, was a pretend soldier while attending Texas A&M. It was a program whereby he could have accepted a commission in the real military, but Neal said; "Nah. I'm going to law school."
Everyone else, too young for the draft, too cowardly (Rush Limbaugh) or just a fucking pussy. You be the judge. We'll let Laura Ingram out of the "pussy" designation for obvious reasons.
File her under "self-absorbed bitch".
Going to poke at the Og a bit more.
Back a few months, when John Edward's spouse was looking askance at the dubious draft-dodging of Rush (Thank God I come from a rich family) Limbaugh.
She'd said that hubby had had a "high number" to which the Ogre responded that he was a "...fucking coward".
Now Rush dodged the bullet because of a pilonidal cyst.
Which is: to over-simplify, a pimple in his ass-crack.
Forgive me. The illustration above is of the crack of an unfortunate gentleman who had a "twofer". Poor bastard.
I'm a visual guy. I can't help it.
Just for fun, here's a direct quote from the Wiki entry for said affliction:
"Obesity and excessive sitting are thought to predispose people to the condition because they increase pressure on the coccyx region."
GET THE FUCK OUT OF TOWN!
"Obesity... excessive sitting" Who'd a thunk it?
Okay, so it's a painful, sedentary, fat-boy lesion, but easily fixed medically. In fact little Rush's fat, dimpled bunkie was probably bent over a table getting it taken care of before he was twenty.
It's a rock-solid, safe bet that no military doctor ever looked at Rush's butt.
I'll bet he mailed in a doctor's note. Lot's of draft-dodging weenies did the same.
Re John Edward's "high number":
John Edwards is about six months older than I am.
Graduated a year earlier in 1971.
I had a high number, 286 if I'm remembering correctly.
Short version: The draft went away in January of 1973.
Even if Edwards had volunteered, he wouldn't have gone to 'Nam.
If he'd begged and pleaded, gone through SEAL training, whatever; he still would have have been out of the shit.
"Fucking Coward" indeed.
And Ted Nugent?
The man's a joke. Not even a particularly good musician (presently playing in my world, via itunes: The Clash).
So, George...
Only morons listen to talk radio. I can say no more.
Really, why not add Art Bell to the list?
UFO silliness aside, he's actually a Vietnam vet.
"Conservative movement": An unfortunate choice of words.
The constipation of political thought that's afflicted the nation ever since Ronnie took office is finally working its way through the national colon.
Even if the GOP wins, McCain is a grown-up, so I think the party's over.
Time to start thinking, folks.
Sarah Palin; I'm sure a nice lady, but she's a nobody.
If she wasn't cute and hadn't posed repeatedly with guns and fish, none of these idiots would give her a second look.
I feel sorry for her.
She's going to have to take some courses and study-up before she can even call herself a "pawn".
Obviously, Karl (another fat draft-dodger) Rove is behind this.
Anyone who can't see it, well they're stupid, plain and simple.
And, to all you "Warmonger" fucks - you know who you are:
You're (BTW George, this is the contraction for "you are" - not "your")
You're not worthy to suck the sweat from the jock-straps of Kerry, Gore, Carter, hell Dole and McCain, no matter how much you'd like to.
The conservative turd is due to be nipped off.
Wait for it.

WAIT, THERE'S MORE.

The owner of site, linked-to above, has posted a quote by... wait for it... OSCAR WILDE.
Unattributed, duh.
Here it is:
"Society often forgives the criminal, but it never forgives the dreamer."
People say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one... I think.
Here's an OW quote that struck me when I chased down the Ogre's reference:
“She lacks the indefinable charm of weakness.”
Especially relevant to Sarah P. no?
Now, he knows that Oscar was a gay, alcoholic, Irish poet, right?
He also penned this:
“America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between.”
This is sooo bitchin'
800+ Wilde quotes here.

Uh Oh... Now it's one by Teddy Roosevelt, a Democrat:
"A vote is like a rifle, its usefulness depends upon the character of the user."
"Character, now there's a thought.

Good post.
Wonder how many repugs would believe the Lincoln quote?

I believe the Lincoln (Republican) quote. In fact, it was given at his first inaugural speech. It was a direct saber rattling jab at the slave states where labor and capital amounted to the definition of Southern antebellum wealth. In other words, the underlying message was not that of exploitation of labor in a capitalist society but a warning to the southern slave states that they better get in-line with the slavery issue. Of course it was political without much in the way of reality, which hasn't changed much over the years. There wasn't much labor going on with the average citizen in the slave states that amounted to capital. I mean, most people in the South worked for themselves. They weren't hired from others and they did no hiring themselves. But they fought like a son-of-bitch for the South for their own personal reasons.

OK, I read this pure violation of
the common paradigm and its dead-on accurate in the way you focus on the falsehoods of people who should know better, our hypocritical "leaders". To give credit when due...but indeed this way leads to madness.

The only way to cope with the
BS is dumb down, somehow.Otherwise, to stay agitated and beyond the pale, socially isolated and doomed to continue mental self-abuse. Take it from one who'se been there: overpondering leads to
destruction and chaos.

Quit reading the news, and for sure quit listening to talk radio.
Stay outa chat rooms and away from mindfuck blog sites, and absolutely avoid people like me.

Another good 'n' Dan.You're gonna make George send his knife back. I actually like the Nuge, not his politics, but his goofiness. One of these days though, somebody's gonna dredge up the High Times interview with him, '79 or so where he brags about how he got out of the draft. (That was the year before I enlisted, so it was okay to read!)

I'll get right on that "The Ted" thing.
And I think he's already pissed.
So
Anyway, it's two knives that had better still be still reviewed or there may be some repo action taken.
You in?

Actually the review of your knives is still up. Didn't realize he scored a Shanghai Fighter. He might not read your blog, you don't shill "tactical" stuff, video games or conservatives.
Impressed with how quickly you found the Nuge quote. You must have still had that issue in your garage.

Dan brock said...

Yeah, the review is still there - It's just inaccessible from his home page.
That's why I posted the link.
Fuck him and all his relations back to Julia "Butterfly" Hill.
He's off playing guns but, he's not the sharpest pencil in the box so...
