Lot's of different pics of this sign.

Lot's of different pics of this sign.
"I don't make hell for nobody. I'm only the instrument of a laughing providence. Sometimes I don't like it myself, but I couldn't help it if I was born smart."

1st Sgt. Milton Anthony Warden.
"From here to Eternity"

Paul Valery

"You are in love with intelligence, until it frightens you. For your ideas are terrifying and your hearts are faint. Your acts of pity and cruelty are absurd, committed with no calm, as if they were irresistible. Finally, you fear blood more and more. Blood and time."

The Wisdom of the Ages

"When a young man, I read somewhere the following: God the Almighty said, 'All that is too complex is unnecessary, and it is simple that is needed',"

Mikhail Kalashnikov
"Here lies the bravest soldier I've seen since my mirror got grease on it."

Stupidy is gorgeous this time of year... Let's go there again.

It gets better.
There are videos!
Here's one from that site, the name of which shall not be uttered:
I'm not going to embed the vid. Takes too much time to load etc.
You can find it here.
Wow, deep stuff. I think he did a screen shot of... at least... a lot of Wikipedia pages.
Not bad tunes though, but for the awful butchering of "Free Falling" by (I think - God help us) Dave Mason.
Tom Petty must have agreed to this. Is he in some sort of trouble?
But; the video, silly in the extreme.
Go here for a grownup discussion of the same issue from a less Wiki-dependant source.
WARNING, this video is over an hour long. Those with neo-con attention spans, take caution.
The graphs are hard to see but Krugman (see blog links) has visuals of the same graphs on his blog.
Okay, this, dry as already-dried paint, discussion is by the finance department at Princeton.
I know, a bunch of egghead "elites", not homey folk like us.
But, since they make their living at least pretending that they understand "the ebbs and flows of our economy" we maybe outta give them a listen.
BTW, the "...ebbs and flows..." quote is from the Ogre; regarding Mitt Romney.
Could ya die!
Mitt, aside from being born rich (an advantage - I guess) was a leveraged buy-out specialist.
Sorry, I just wonder if his understanding extends to the admission that this particular "ebb" is because of greedy fucks like him?
Sorry, rhetorical question.
In closing, another, "better than George's video":

It takes Brit comedians to get it right for us.
Fear not, any neo-natal-cons that may happen by.
It's user-friendly. No more intellectually challenging than the work of little Billy O'Reilly.
It is over 8 minutes long so those with attention-span problems might pause and have Mommy make a snack about midway.
We are so fucked.

UPDATE! UP-UPDATE: It's back, complete with some whining about how the evil liberal corporations unfairly wielded their power against his muse.
The video posted by the Og, the first one linked to above, has been pulled by youtube.
Music copyright violations. I guess the boy-genius who put it together maybe should'a either cleared that or posted it with no sound track.
But then, that would have put an unfair intellectual burden on his conservative viewers, the ones who can't think without being prodded emotionally in the proper direction.
Anyway, if you haven't seen it, don't sweat it. You haven't missed anything.
